About Patriot Charities
|
The purpose of the Patriot Charities is to raise funds to financially support non-profit organizations and local programs within the Carolinas concerned with the immediate welfare, care and support for our military and their families wounded in ongoing military operations. Since our inception in 2006, over one million dollars has been raised to support our mission.
Our beneficiaries since 2006 include; American Legion Unit 270 Fisher House Foundation Hope for the Warriors NC Heroes Fund USO Charlotte Center Wounded Warrior Project
Thousands from our own military communities have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Approximately 80,000 military service members travel through the Charlotte Douglas airport each year. This is truly a worthy and timely cause as more and more of our young men and women are returning from military action with catastrophic injuries that will affect the rest of their lives. Conservative estimates are that there will be over 355,000 men and women with some disabling injury from action entering an already over-burdened military healthcare system. The resources are not there to handle this load and care for this young men and women and their families who have made such a profound sacrifice. The American people must help. No matter political affiliations we all support our troops that are in harm's way.
The Patriot Charities is a local, non-profit 501 (c) 3 charity. Contributions are tax deductible under applicable laws. The Patriot Charities is eligible for many corporate matching programs. The money raised each year goes to support wounded warrior programs here in the Carolinas.
